Whenever a fast is recorded in

Scripture, it is followed by a

season of growth and blessing.

And as you will discover over

the next few weeks, your

commitment to fast will usher

in some of the greatest

opportunities to take hold of

the blessings of God. That is

what we are most excited about. And we look forward with anticipation to all of the great things God is going to do in the life of our church and in your life as well. So as we join together as a church family, let’s take the next targeted days to prepare ourselves for what God has prepared for all of us in 2010!

What an awesome year it has been so far. We see people visiting our church nearly every week. Many have come to Christ and are finding new life in their relationship with him. Praise God! Here are just a few areas where our church has excelled:

· Attendance has increased · General giving in our offerings and also to special projects has increased · Attendance in Life Groups (small group Bible studies) is at an all-time high · Our ministry team (volunteers in ministry) is also at an all-time high

Really, the list could go on. It’s because of this that we need to devote ourselves to prayer and fasting like never before. I know from over 13 years of pastoral ministry that the enemy would take any opportunity to thwart our efforts. It is because we understand that the Lord is our constant source of all spiritual endeavor that we are calling our congregation and those who would feel led, to join us as we enter an intentional season of prayer & fasting.
